Inside the AI Agent Conference: A Few Observations from NYC

This month, DINEvent provided on site staffing support for the AI Agent Conference in New York City, a large scale event that brought together more than 3,000 attendees focused on the future of AI, automation, and emerging technology.

As conversations around AI continue to accelerate across nearly every industry, it was interesting to observe how these discussions are beginning to intersect with meetings, hospitality, sourcing, and event operations as well.

One thing became very clear throughout the conference: while technology is moving quickly, people are still looking for thoughtful experiences, strong communication, and meaningful human interaction.

Even in highly technical environments, hospitality matters.

Attendees still care about:

  • seamless execution

  • well designed environments

  • quality food and beverage experiences

  • networking opportunities

  • clear communication

  • personalization

  • operational consistency

Technology may change how information is gathered and how certain processes are streamlined, but successful events still depend heavily on people, relationships, creativity, and execution.

From a sourcing perspective, AI will likely continue improving efficiency in areas such as:

  • venue research

  • data organization

  • attendee personalization

  • scheduling support

  • communication workflows

At the same time, there are parts of this industry that still require human insight and experience:

  • understanding client goals

  • negotiating partnerships

  • anticipating operational challenges

  • managing guest experience

  • adapting quickly in real time

  • building trusted industry relationships

The meetings and events industry has always evolved alongside technology, and AI will certainly become part of that evolution. However, after spending time onsite at the AI Agent Conference, our perspective remains the same: technology can support hospitality, but it does not replace it.

As the industry continues to shift, DINEvent remains focused on helping clients and partners create thoughtful, well executed experiences through a combination of sourcing expertise, operational support, and strong hospitality partnerships.

We are looking forward to continuing the conversation.
