DINing Out in Naples, FL

One thing that I love about DINEvent is my ability to work remotely from anywhere! This January, I was able to spend two weeks in Naples, FL. While in Naples, I dined out at several wonderful restaurants around the city.

On the first night, my husband and I went to a restaurant called Mr. Big Fish. When you pull up to this restaurant, it doesn’t look like anything special because it’s located at the corner of a shopping plaza, off a busy road, but let me tell you — the food was incredible! Each entrée comes with a side salad (not pictured) and two sides. Next time I’m in Naples, I will definitely go back to Mr. Big Fish.

Another spot we loved was Bayside Seafood Grill & Bar, which is in the Venetian Village. This restaurant was great because we walked around the shops prior and had a gorgeous view of the bay while at dinner, pictured below.

We tried Swan River Seafood and USS Nemo Restaurant. These restaurants happen to be right next to each other (also located in a shopping plaza like Mr. Big Fish) and offer similar cuisines. I personally enjoyed Swan River more.

Halfway through the trip, Anayis joined us! One night, we went to Rocco’s Tacos in Mercato. Mercato is such a lively spot with restaurants, bars, shops, apartments, and more. It looks like a few new restaurants and bars are “coming soon”, so returning to Mercato is a priority next time I’m in town.

On the last night, we ventured to 5th Avenue South. This is another action-packed area in Naples filled with luxurious shops, art galleries, fine dining, and cocktail lounges. If you plan on going to 5th, you absolutely must make a reservation, especially during busy season - January-April.

We started the night with cocktails at Keewaydin’s (picture below), a restaurant that opened at the beginning of 2024. I would definitely like to try dinner here sometime! We then headed to Alberto’s on Fifth for dinner.

We started with a traditional salad, topped with burrata and homemade penne bolognese style to share before our main courses.

Branzino served with asperagus, which was on special that night

Grilled lamb chops with baby spinach, fingerling potatoes, and porcini mushrooms

Chilean sea bass over polenta, wild mushrooms, and asparagus

Naples is certainly not lacking in places to dine out. I can’t wait for my next trip back since I’ve already identified places I want to try next. Maybe, Anayis will come back with me and we can try even more spots together!

Until next time…

STT,
